About Guildcoin
Guildcoin is an independently developed proposal for a portable, funded game currency. We are gathering feedback from indie studios before committing to an economic model or building a live money system.
Who's behind it?
The concept is founder-led and is being shared for developer validation. You can see the project maintainer's public GitHub profile ↗.
To ask questions, propose a pilot or offer feedback, use the developer survey and optionally leave your email address.
What exists today?
- A public concept and developer feedback survey.
- Early proposed rules for funded issuance and developer earnings.
- No live currency, public wallet network or developer payout service.
- No published SDKs or production integration APIs.
What must be proven?
- Developers genuinely want to accept balances acquired elsewhere.
- Integration effort, fraud controls and payment costs are sustainable.
- Appropriate funding, custody, redemption and dispute rules can be established.
- Applicable laws and game-platform policies permit the model.
What would build trust?
Before handling real money, a future operator would need specialist legal and payment review, documented redemption terms, independent financial and technical oversight, and a clear way for developers to raise disputes.
These are requirements to design and validate, not safeguards already in place.
Help shape the proposal
If you build games, tell us what evidence, economics and integrations you would need before trusting Guildcoin. Negative feedback is particularly useful.
